Yogi celebrates Holi, greets people

On the occasion of Holi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is also Gorakshapeethadheeshwar,  worshiped Holika ashes (bhasma) and inaugurated Holi celebrations. He enjoyed Holi songs at the Gorakhnath Temple and participated in gau seva. After reaching the area where Holika Dahan was performed, the chief minister performed puja amidst Vedic chants, offered prayers, and commenced the celebrations. Following this ritual, the head priest of the temple, Kamal Nath, along with other saints and devotees, sought blessings from Gorakshpeethadhishwar by applying tilak with the Holika bhasma. The Gorakshapeethadheeshwar also applied tilak to them and extended Holi greetings. Later, the chief minister arrived at the temple of Guru Gorakhnath Ji from the Holika Dahan site and offered Holika ashes to Shreenath Ji. Subsequently, a celebration of Holi songs was organised at the temple gate. Yogi also stayed there for a while, enjoying the festivities and extending Holi greetings to everyone. Meanwhile, the chief minister reached the temples cowshed and applied Holika ashes and gulal to the cows while expressing his good wishes for them. He also served them by offering jaggery and feeding them with roti and milk. He also reached near the Bhim Sarovar in the temple premises and fed grains to the ducks strolling along the lake shore.
